You will be reading the stories of many undetectable homeless people who are stable enough to attempt self-sufficiency. They have been living an alternative lifestyle in small RVs, trucks, converted vans, SUVs, and rehabbed boats. They mingle among us in urban and rural areas, undetectable as being homeless. They have mastered the art of masquerade: they look and act just like everyone else in a mall, library, store, or hotel lobby. They did have traditional homes and jobs, so they have knowledge of "normal" everyday life.

Dr. Bard has been interviewing and filming those who have lost homes, jobs, or need anonymity as they fled abusers (domestic or workplace bullies/stalkers). Some of those who used to live out of vehicles have been led to partnerships established by Dr. Bard with kind-hearted farmers who are usually retired and have unused farmland for the creation of tiny eco-villages. The now self-sufficient stable homeless build small cabins, grow their own food, and have started individual or co-op businesses -- now that they have a proper address.
Choosing to live away from government intervention in their lives, they remain anonymous and innovative, using innate skills to "make it on their own."

The years of months-at-a-time travel were from 1997 to 2005, but shorter trips have garnered personal stories until the 2012-2013 Cyberlog at StudioClub.com. (The longer stories are in book form.)The issue of a previously unknown huge population of undetectable homeless across the country was first noted nationally in a "60 Minutes" segment (with Lesley Stahl and Marjorie Bard) titled "Lost in Bel Air" in 1992. It was the result of a Los Angeles Times staff writer who met with Dr. Bard and a few undetectable homeless women and then wrote a front-page article about the topic. Bard's dissertation -- and two books about Domestic Abuse and Homelessness are: "Shadow Women: Homeless Women's Survival Stories" (Sheed&Ward, 1990) and "Organizational and Community Responses to Domestic Abuse and Homelessness" (Garland, 1994). Both books have been re-issued by Routledge/Francis&Taylor in 2016 as Library Editions and as universty textbooks. General sales are at Barnes & Noble and online booksellers.
Matt Kane found a way to remove my URL for my main page on studioclub.com from Google listings. NO ONE ELSE would even think of doing such a despicable thing! The page has been up for years, and suddenly, with Matt becoming more aggressive and threatening more people with dastardly things which will happen to them, my e-doc is gone from Google and other search engines. He'll lie once again, for that is all he knows how to do, that he had nothing to do with it. I know no one who cares about being homeless would remove that e-doc!
ReplyDeleteMatt's newest illegal threat is to publish that he is offering $100 to anyone who will punch someone in the face. He will pay through PayPal. He didn't happen to like a comment made. That's all the person did. This needs to become an article in the Los Angeles TIMES about the way bullies and stalkers are dangerous. A lot of discussions about bullying by children, but where are the stories of adults bullying other adults to the point of having a "hitman" hired to physically harm them? I'm heading for a reporter tomorrow. Matt says he is using an alias in his "new job as staff writer for an Emmy Award winning writer." Doesn't he realize that this kind of publicity will make him toast in Hollywood? He'd rather bully, stalk, and hire "hitmen" than keep the first real job he's ever had! Makes one wonder if he really HAS a job! I doubt it. What a jerk....!
Studioclub.com has altered its main Home Page. The Undetectable Homeless is on a list on the main page titled THE LITERATURE STAGE. The owner is focusing now only on digital matter, and I have 10 years of personal narratives and photos of the undetectable homeless and how they say they have become self-sufficient. I haven't made a doc out of this particular material, for it is going to be in book form. (I have already filmed a doc about the undetectable homeless and part of it was on my "60 Minutes" segment.)

WARNING: Matthew Berdyck is an extremely dangerous Internet predator with a lengthy criminal record including violent crimes. He currently has active arrest warrants in the state of Ohio. Matthew is extraordinarily mentally ill. He allegedly suffers from severe narcissistic personality disorder and uses the Internet to wreak havoc in order to replenish his narcissistic supply. He is homeless and collects disability income. His full-time job appears to be unleashing as much devastation and pain to as many people as possible using the Internet.
ReplyDeleteHe has committed many cybercrimes spanning the last decade which include: stalking, harassment, extortion, criminal intimidation, false copyright complaints, death threats, threats of violence, threats to commit acts of terrorism, and has even referred to himself as a "potential mass shooter" who may "snap". There have been hundreds and hundreds of documented victims of Matthew's cyberstalking and harassment dating back to 2012. Because Matthew is a homeless drifter, it is nearly impossible for law enforcement to track him down and hold him accountable for his crimes.
If you encounter Matthew Berdyck DO NOT ENGAGE HIM UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE. He is an extremely dangerous mentally ill Internet predator that will stop at nothing to inflict as much pain and suffering to your real-world life as possible. This message serves as a public notice to help prevent further people from being victimized by this evil man.
